GALENA — The Lady Redbirds took second at Tuesday’s Galena Golf Course Invitational hosted by Southwestern-Cuba City. Edgerton’s 384 paced the five-team meet. Darlington (436) finished ahead of Southwestern-Cuba City (459) and Clinton (472). Lancaster was a golfer short of qualifying a team score.
Kennedy Wagner led the Redbirds with a 100 on the par 72 18-hole course. Marissa Gould came in second for Darlington with a 104, and Chloe Muhlstein (115) and Allison Thompson (117) also carded team scores. Edgerton’s Alexis Deavers was the individual medalist with a 92.
Darlington’s next meet was at the Prairie du Chien Invitational Thursday, but results were unavailable at press time. The Redbirds will hit the links again at home against Lancaster in a dual Monday and then host five teams at the Darlington Invitational Friday in a meet rescheduled from Aug. 17.
