Reuter siblings Raquel and Rhett won their respective races. Raquel, a freshman, finished the girls race with a time of 20 minutes, 18.1 seconds — more than a minute faster that second place runner Madison Krey of River Valley.

On the boys side, Rhett Reuter, a junior, edged out Platteville’s John Wells for first place by a half-second at 17:34.1. Caleb Weaver (19:00.2) of Darlington took sixth overall, and Cristian Guiterrez (19:13.8), Ethan Thompson (20:11.7) and Luis Rios (20:15.8) all scored for the Redbirds.
“We were missing quite a few runners because of a quarantine issue at our school,” Darlington coach Arnie Miehe said.
Platteville won the boys race with 27 points. Darlington finished second with 44, and Platteville was third with 49. In the girls race, Darlington’s 25 points paced the field, with Platteville scoring 44 and River Valley 59.
