Redbirds rally to third at PDC

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN — Darlington finished third of five teams with a 214 in the Prairie du Chien mini meet on Monday, Aug. 21. Lancaster won the meet with a team score of 180, followed by Southwestern in second with a team score of 201.

Senior Josie Meister led the Redbirds for the third straight time, carding a 47 with two pars and two bogeys. She tied with Lancaster’s Lynell Miller, but the tiebreaking Hole 8 score put Miller ahead of Meister in the overall standings. 

Fellow senior Sophie Wiegel cracked the top 10 with a 50, followed by Sydney Weber with a 57. Alyza Johnson and Erica Meylor rounded out the varsity squad with scores of 60 and 70, respectively.
