DARLINGTON — Despite a last-place finish in the SWC conference meet on Tuesday, Sept. 19, Darlington finished third of five teams in overall standings, thanks to its efforts throughout the entire year.

The Redbirds shot a team score of 415, three strokes more than fourth-place Wisconsin Dells. Josie Meister and Sophie Wiegel led the team with individual scores of 95. Lancaster won the meet — and conference — with a team score of 356. Two of the Flying Arrows golfers were in the top five overall.

Golf regionals being on Sept. 27-28, depending on location. Darlington will play on Thursday at the Prairie du Chien regional, facing off against familiar foes Lancaster, Prairie du Chien and Southwestern.
