MIDDLETON — The Redbirds took seventh as a team at the WIAA Division 2 girls golf sectional at Pleasant View in Middleton.
Edgewood won the meet with a score of 337 to advance to state, while Arcadia (375) defeated Edgerton in a one-hole playoff tiebreaker for second place and a trip to state. Darlington finished with a total score of 446.
La Crosse Aquinas’ Annie Balduzzi shot a 77 to lead the pack and advanced to state along with a pair of Edgerton golfers.
Darlington senior Kennedy Wagner ended her high school career with a 97 – seven shots off from the last individual state qualifier.
Other Redbird scores include junior Marissa Gould’s 101 (26th), junior Maggie Nordqvist’s 110 (36th), senior Chloe Muhlstein’s 117 (42nd) and senior Holly Ray’s 145 (48th).
