BOSCOBEL — Pecatonica-Argyle was sixth as a team at the annual Ryan Zimpel Memorial Invitational Sept. 7.
Boscobel took first place overall with 48 points, followed by Southwestern-Cuba City-Benton (68), Kickapoo-La Farge (78), Iowa-Grant (113), Fennimore (122) and Pec-Argyle (151). Ten teams scored in the race, which included 84 runners.
Kickapoo-La Farge junior Nolan Reese won the race with a time of 17:14.8. Pec-Argyle junior Ridge Toay was the first Viking to cross the finish line (11th, 18:22.9), followed by Brady Penniston (23rd, 19:38.9), Kristian Orloff (28th, 19:55.9), Nathan Nickels (50th, 21:29.3) and Tyler McKeon (62nd, 22:26.3).
On the girls side, SCCB’s Kayci and Hanna Martensen finished 1-2 in the race, with Kayci’s time of 18:08.8 the only time under the 20-minute mark. Hanna Martensen finished at 20:04.9.
Pecatonica’s Claire Mathys was 55th at 29:01.3, while teammate Paige Toay finished next at 29:01.3.
Boscobel (39) won the girls race, followed by Kickapoo-La Farge (56), SCCB (84) and North Crawford (110). Seven schools scored enough points for the team rankings, and another 60 girls ran in the race.
