ARGYLE — The Orioles had two sophomores with double-doubles in a tight 60-53 win over Barneveld Feb. 13.
Tori Lantz finished the night with 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead Argyle, while teammate Grace Ganshert finished with 14 points and 10 boards. Maggie Godfrey had 15 rebounds to go with six points.
Argyle struggled from the field on the night, making just 13 of 50 attempts (26%). However, the Orioles were a solid 23 of 29 (79.3%) from the free throw line. Argyle also committed 32 turnovers, but stole the ball 17 times.
Abby Bures led the Eagles with 11 points, with teammates Jacey Spring and Elle Pechan each scoring 10.
Monticello 56, Juda 43
MONTICELLO — The Ponies looked to senior guard Miah Brokopp to propel the offense during a Feb. 13 Six Rivers East game against the Panthers.
Brokopp answered the bell, scoring 31 points on 9 of 20 shooting — including a 6 of 15 mark (40%) from beyond the arc and a 7 for 9 effort from the charity stripe. Teammate Harley Disch added 17 points.
Monticello went into halftime with a 29-23 advantage and outscored Juda by seven in the second half.
Darlington 46, Riverdale 28
DARLINGTON — Allison Thompson and Marissa Gould each scored 17 points as the Redbirds picked up a clean SWAL win Feb. 14.
Darlington led 19-13 at halftime and outscored Riverdale 27-15 in the second half.
Madison Couey led Riverdale with 15 points.
New Glarus 57, Waterloo 44
NEW GLARUS — Jaylynn Benson scored 23 points in the final home game of the season for the Glarner Knights Feb. 14.
Benson scored 13 points in the opening half as New Glarus jumped out to a 33-29 advantage. Lily Himmelmann added eight of her nine points in the first half, while Ellie Eichelkraut scored seven of her nine in the second half.
The Knights hit just one 3-pointer all night but finished 20 of 29 at the free throw line. Waterloo lived and died beyond the arc, hitting five shots from distance. Skylar Powers led the Pirates with 19 points.
Brodhead 48, East Troy 33
EAST TROY — The Cardinals took an 11-point advantage into halftime and never looked back during their Rock Valley win over the Trojans Feb. 14.
Abbie Dix scored 20 points to lead Brodhead, while Kiarra Moe added 16.
The win guarantees the Cardinals (13-7, 9-7) a .500 or better record in the conference this season.
