PORTAGE — The Cheesemakers bookended the regular season with wins over Portage-Poynette. On May 24, Monroe got a first half goal from Atziry Ocamp in the 22nd minute to take the lead. Just two minutes later it was tied.

Then, with less than three minutes to play, Marlies Brandli scored to seal the win. It is the first multi-win season for the Cheesemakers since 2018. Unfortunately for Brandli, she broke her femur in the game, but continued to play.

Up next is ninth-ranked Sugar River in the WIAA Division 3 playoffs on June 2.
