MONROE — Monroe’s Mekhi Brown was not only picked to the Rock Valley-Valley all-conference first-team, he was also named the league’s Player of the Year.
Brown, a junior, averaged more than 16.2 points per game and shot above 90% from the free throw line. He also averaged more than four rebounds and three assists per game. He’s the second consecutive RVC-Valley Player of the year from Monroe, following James Seagreaves in 2023-24.
Monroe sophomore JT Meyer (13.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg) also earned first team all-conference status, while junior Marcus Ott (9.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 3.8 apg) was second team. Junior JJ Meyer and sophomore Kam Gerber-Reamer were honorable mention selections.
Monroe won the RVC-Valley with a 13-1 record — six full games ahead of second place East Troy (7-7).
On the girls side, Monroe seniors Alexis Gertsch and Brinley Roidt were honorable mention all-conference.
