MONROE — Taylor Jacobson enters her senior year of high school with options on the court after graduation.

During July she received multiple offers to play at the next level from schools across three states.

Currently she has NCAA DIII offers from Wisconsin’s Carthage College, Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota, and North Park University in Chicago. She also has scholarship offers at the junior college level at both Bryant & Stratton College in Wisconsin, and North Dakota State College of Science.

Bryant & Stratton is a for-profit NJCAA Division II school in Wauwatosa and finished 27-5 overall last season.  NDSCS is a junior college in Wahpeton, about 40 miles south of Fargo along the Red River, bordering Minnesota.

“Honored to have received a scholarship offer from coach Park at NDSCS. Thank you so much for your belief in me!” Jacobson announced in a July 28 Twitter post.

Park Masterson took over as head coach in May after serving as assistant the previous season when the program went 30-3 overall, including 20-1 in conference play.

Further east, Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota offered her a spot on their basketball team as well on July 19.

“After talking with both @CoachDGF and @skaarjordan2, I was offered a roster spot with their team! So thankful to them for believing in me! @saintmarys_wbb,” Jacobson wrote July 19 on Twitter, mentioning coach David Foley and assistant Jordan Skaar.

SMU is an NCAA Division III school and went 8-18 overall during the 2021-22 season.

NPU was 15-10 last season and has a new head coach, Annie Shain, who was promoted after Amanda Crockett resigned in late March.

Carthage finished last season 11-14 overall.

Jacobson led Monroe in points per game last season. She also is a state-qualifying track athlete, and spends the offseason playing AAU basketball with Let It Rain.

Brady Peterson, regional scout for @Prepgirlshoops, has followed Jacobson and Let It Rain this summer, and tweeted at the end of June that Jacobson “has been awesome all AAU season. She’s shown that she can defend on the perimeter and attack off the dribble.”
