Argyle-Pec Golf Team Places Third At SWAL Golf Meet At Fennimore

The Argyle-Pec Golf Team shot a score of 165 to place third at the SWAL Conference Golf Meet held May 9 at Hickory Grove Golf Course in Fennimore. Defending State Champion Mineral Point won the meet with a 156.  Argyle-Pec senior Alex Ruetten shot a 38 to lead the team. Sophomore Avari Steiner shot a 40. Junior Cohlman Schlimgen shot a 41. Argyle-Pec coach Chuck Chandler was especially pleased to see Schlimgen have a good day. “It was really good to have Cohlman shoot a 41. We need to shoot those types of 9 hole scores the rest of the season. Alex & Avari shot a couple more strokes higher than they normally post. (There’s) lots of golf the next 2 weeks, so, we’ll see if we can peak at the right time,” said Chandler. Argyle-Pec has the New Glarus Invitational on May 14.
