Monroe gains ground in RVC

MONROE — Monroe hosted Delavan-Darien and East Troy in a Rock Valley Conference Triangular on Monday, April 15. The Cheesemakers won 23 events, including the boys 4x100, boys 4x400, girls 4x100 and girls 4x800 relays.

Individually, Brody Cornfield won the 100-meter dash (11.64) and 200-meter dash (23.63); Tre Dammen the 400-meter dash (54.60); Padriac Houston the 3,200-meter run (11:13.82); Kaden Kuester the 110-meter hurdles (15.83) and triple jump (42-00.50); Will Keehn the 300-meter hurdles (47.32); James Seagreaves the high jump (5-10); Seth Schmidt the long jump (19-06); CJ Schuh the pole vault (9-06); Taylor Herbst the discus (122-08) and shot put (42-10.50); Aleigh Zettle the 100-meter dash (12.97), 200-meter dash (27.24) and pole vault (9-06); Mya Wild the 800-meter run (2:30.28) and 3,200-meter run (13:33.86); Maryella Green the 1,600-meter run (5:56.65); and Miley Hanson the high jump (5-01).


ROCK VALLEY TRIPLE DUAL

CLINTON — Brodhead-Juda boys and girls swept the Rock Valley Conference triple dual between them, Big Foot and Clinton on Wednesday, April 17. The Cardinals won 21 events, including the boys 4x200, boys 4x800 and girls 4x200 relays.

Individually, Gunner Boegli won the100-meter dash (11.43); Eric Woodward the 200-meter dash (24.64); Gavin Pinnow the 400-meter dash (54.87) and high jump (5-10); Nathan Engen the 800-meter run (2:22.06), long jump (20-01) and triple jump (39-09); Stella Arn the 100-meter dash (12.71) and 200-meter dash (27.41); Olivia Hartwig the 400-meter dash (1:08.61); Addison Yates the 100-meter hurdles (16.80), high jump (5-02) and long jump (16-0); Chesney Walker the 300-meter hurdles (56.26); Onni Williams the shot put (34-01) and discus (99-09); Elliana Shank the pole vault (6-06); and Brenley Jones the triple jump (31-10). 


SOUTHWESTERN QUAD

HAZEL GREEN — The Darlington Lady Redbirds finished first in the Southwestern Quad on Monday, April 15. Darlington boys were runners up to Cuba City. Other participants in the event were Cuba City, Southwestern and Benton-Scales Mound-Shullsburg.

Collectively, the Redbirds won 13 events. Darlington girls swept the relays, while the boys won all but the 4x800 relay.

Individually, Alyza Johnson won the 200-meter dash (27.74); Raquel Reuter the 400-meter run (1:02.23); Adalee Berget the 800-meter run (2:27.73); Josie Meister the shot put (35-05); Ethan Aird the pole vault (11-00); and Isaac Crist the long jump (18-11.50).
