MONROE — The Monroe-New Glarus Cheese Knights won Senior Night against Sauk Prairie 122-48 on Oct. 21. 

Piper Faber swam a season best time (36.22) in the 100 butterfly. Amelia Geib won both the 50 (29.54) and 100 freestyle (1:03.56) and swam life-time best times. Megan Chapman won the 200 (2:17.76) and 400 freestyle (4:47.45).  Brinlee Chapman swam a season best time in the 200 freestyle (2:50.93). Anna Zentner won the 100 fly (1:15.10).  Lexie Elgin finished in third place in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:13.01.

Monroe-New Glarus coach Rachel Root had high praise for the seniors on the team. “The senior class displayed strong leadership skills and has made an impact on the freshmen, sophomore, and junior classes as well as the coaches,” stated Root.

It was the last home meet of the season for Monroe-New Glarus. The Cheese Knights will compete in the Division 1 sectional at Verona on Saturday Nov. 8.
