MNG dominates in dual
swim stock

OREGON — The Cheesemakers won 9 of the 11 events and went on to win 106-63 in a dual with Oregon Sept. 7. The only two races Monroe-New Glarus didn’t win were the 200-meter freestyle and the 100-butterfly. Both races were won by Oregon’s Katherine Dunn, a freshman.

Riley Hoesly won all four events she competed in. She won the 200-individual medley with a time of 2:44.10 — more than 10 seconds ahead of the next closest competitor. In the 400-freestyle she swam to a winning time of 5:12.42. She was also a member of the champion 200-meter medley relay (2:12.98) and the 400-free relay (4:21.90).

Mazie Paradis also earned first place honors in four events. She joined Hoesly in the 200-medley and 400-free relays, then won the 50-free (27.49) and the 100-free (1:00.38) as an individual.

Also on the 200-medley relay team were Karley Michels and Delaney Lynch. Michels won the 100-breaststroke (1:25.37), was second in the 200-free relay and fourth in the 400-free (6:14.13). Lynch was third in the 50-free (31.10), second in the 100-butterfly (1:116.06) and was a member of the 400-free relay, that also include Morgan Erstad. Erstad was first in the 100-backstroke (1:12.81), second in the 200-free (2:26.89) and was a member of the first-place 200-free relay team with Keeley Mulligan, Samantha Schiro and Danika Doll.
