OREGON — The Cheesemakers dropped all six sets played in a Badger Southwest Quad Sept. 7. 

Monroe lost to Edgewood 25-12, 25-14; Mount Horeb 25-13, 25-15; and host Oregon 25-17; 25-16.

Elly Wild had a team-high four kills against Edgewood, while Payton Johnson, Kyla Ziolkowski and Olivia Wiegel each had an ace. Against Mount Horeb, Ziolkowski led Monroe with three kills, while Madyson Davis had an ace. Monroe had just seven kills against Oregon, though Wild and Ziolkowski each had two aces.


New Glarus 3, Cambridge 0

NEW GLARUS — The Glarner Knights swept Cambridge Sept. 7, 25-19, 26-24, 25-11.

Lindsey Schadewalt had 10 kills while Grace Nommensen added eight. Nommensen also dished out 15 assists. Emma Marty finished the night with nine digs for New Glarus, while Veronica Tollakson and Carrah Bainbridge each had seven. Tollakson dominated at the service line, finishing the night with seven aces while Ellie Eichelkraut had four.


Darlington 3, Fennimore 1

DARLINGTON — The Redbirds took a step forward in their progression Sept. 7, defeating Fennimore 25-13, 16-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Zoie Zuberbuhler had five aces for Darlington, while Taylor Wedig finished with a team-high 11 kills. Aubrey McCarthy dished out 20 assists, Emma Rielly had two block and Kaylee Schwartz notched 10 digs.


Monticello 3, 

Albany 0

ALBANY — Ellie Gustafson had 19 kills and five digs as the Ponies shot down the Comets Sept. 7, 25-9, 25-15, 25-12.

Hannah Clark added three kills, six digs and three blocks for Monticello, while teammate Macey Grant had five aces, and Kelsey Grant chipped in with four aces and 22 assists.

Brianna Dahl led Albany with 13 kills, an ace, 11 digs and a block. Payton Firth tallied seven assists and Anna Ellinger had a block for the Comets.
