MONROE — Local educators and volleyball referees Barb Keegan and Loren Homb have been invited by the WIAA to work at the state tournament for the second straight season. It will be Homb’s eighth state appearance, while Keegan will officiate her second.

The duo has worked the net together all season, and recently officiated a regional final on Oct. 23. On Oct. 30, the pair will work the Waterloo sectional final, which will feature two Division 3 teams.

In the state tournament, Keegan and Homb will work the Division 3 championship, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Nov. 6 at the Resch Center in Green Bay. Last season the pair worked a Division 1 semifinal during the alternate fall season in April.

Homb worked his first six state tournament appearances with former official Jim Hein, who died in 2010.
