Hendrickson strikes out 10 in win

SOUTH WAYNE — Pecatonica pitcher Diana Hendrickson struck out 10 batters, helping her team defeat Argyle-Black Hawk 11-3 on Monday, April 15.

She gave up just one earned run on 10 hits. At the plate, Hendrickson reached base three times via walk and scored twice. Maddie Hirsch was the spark atop the lineup, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Alyssa Cassidy also recorded a multiple-hit game, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Mya McNett suffered the loss, giving up five earned runs on four hits. She struck out three but walked six. Despite the defensive struggles, McNett was one of four Oriole hitters with a multiple-hit game. Alexis Rosenstiel led the charge, going 3-for-4 with an RBI.


DARLINGTON 7, RIVERDALE 3

MUSCODA — A four-run second lifted Darlington over Riverdale in a SWAL contest on Monday, April 15. Lylah Norgard and Braelyn Grossen, the top and bottom of the order respectively, tallied three hits each. Maddy Corley, who went 1-for-4, recorded the only extra-base hit.

Sophie Wiegel pitched a complete game in the victory, giving up one earned run on eight hits. She struck out four and didn’t issue a walk.


BARNEVELD 3, MONTICELLO-NEW GLARUS 0

BARNEVELD — Molly Olson ensured her team wouldn’t get no-hit, lining a double to center in the top of the third inning. That was the only offensive spark MNG got, though, in a Six Rivers East loss on Monday, April 15.

Dalana Trumpy and Brooke Ryan were the only other batters to reach base. Kira Whisler was the pitcher of record, giving up two earned runs on four hits. She struck out five and walked just one. Tatum O’Bel pitched the final inning, striking out one.
