The pair took advantage of warm and sunny weather that hit the area for Memorial Day, with temperatures reaching the low 80s. Witt and her father practice pitching and hitting four to five days a week, Tom said. Prior to the WIAA canceling the spring sports season, Katie Witt was one of several underclassmen that were expected to vie for playing time on the Cheesemakers’ varsity squad according to coach Joe O’Leksy.
