ARGYLE — The Knights gave AP all they could handle in a regional semifinal Feb. 28.

A Malia Malaise three-pointer with just over two minutes let in the first half gave visiting New Glarus a brief 22-20 lead. Kylie Butler tied it on free throws and then hit a shot to regain the lead with 1:15 left before halftime. Avari Steiner buried a three on AP’s final possession of the half to put her team ahead by a slim 29-24 margin.

In the second half, New Glarus was dealt a blow as Kate Parman fouled out with 7:46 to play. AP only gre its lead from there.
