JANESVILLE — The Rock County Fury stifled the Madison Metro Lynx 4-1 Dec. 18 at the Janesville Ice Arena.

Madison (2-6, 1-3 Badger) took a 1-0 lead in the first off of an even strength goal by Eva Held 2:22 into the game.

The Fury (5-3, 3-0-1) tied the score at the 9:11 mark in the second period when Presley Kovacevich scored off of passes from Alyssa and Haley Knauf. Anika Einbeck took a pass from Haley Knauf later with 3:11 left in the period to make it 2-1.

In the third, Einbeck added her second goal — a powerplay goal on Haley Knauf’s third assist of the night. Just 78 seconds later Haley Knauf put the game away with an empty-netter. Alyssa Knauf assisted.

Just two penalties were called in the game, one on each team. Rock County out-shot Madison 34-17. Olivia Cronin earned the win in net, playing all 51 minutes for the Fury.
