BRODHEAD — Postponed one day due to extreme sub-zero temperatures, the Cardinals were overwhelmed 68-40 by visiting Deerfield on Jan. 22, a rare Wednesday night game.

By the time Brodhead had defrosted — likely in the locker room at halftime, Deerfield had built up a 47-20 advantage. Brodhead stayed within a point of Deerfield in the second half.

Sydney Loerke and Emmerson Drobac of Deerfield had 22 points apiece.
