MONROE — The Capitol and Rock Valley Conferences recently released their all-conference selections, where Sugar River and Monroe were represented.
The Raiders, seven-time defending league champions, had six players earn first team. Breckyn Thompson and Lance Brecklin were defenders on a team that shut out all of its conference opponents. Thompson also tallied one assist. Nathan Hendrickson was one of five first-team all-conference forwards, scoring seven goals with four assists for 18 points. Midfielders Drew Brueggemann and Tikeh Tazeh also earned first team. Brueggemann led the team in scoring and points with 10 and 23, respectively. Tazeh tallied seven goals with seven assists for 21 points. Streiff was the lone goalie on the first team. He played all 13 games in net, allowing 24 goals on 54 shots for a .692 save percentage.
Nolan Turner and Sawyer O’Flanagan were second-team defenders, while Dylan Brooks earned second-team at forward. Jackson Erstad received honorable mention.
A quartet of Cheesemakers were recognized by the Rock Valley. Defender Brock Brandli earned first team. Midfielder Osmar Fernandez-Sanchez made the second team, while Gavin DeNure and Trent Wyss received honorable mention.
