BELLEVILLE — Scoring in all but the third quarter, Belleville shut out Southwestern-East Dubuque 31-0 in a SWAL contest on Friday, Sept. 27. The Wildcats compiled 419 yards of offense.

Brennan Keyes was 15 of 27 passing for 291 yards and three touchdowns. He threw one interception. Three different receivers caught those touchdown passes — Sam Arndt (5 receptions, 94 yards), Cooper Nemec (5-103) and Logan Derke (3-85). On the ground, Keyes had another touchdown. He was the leading rusher with 67 yards.

Defensively, Lukas Loshaw intercepted a pass, and Cayson Helwig sacked the quarterback.


PECATONICA-ARGYLE 22, RIVERDALE 19 

MUSCODA — The Vikings completed a comeback victory with a 16-point fourth quarter in their contest against the Chieftains on Friday, Sept. 27.

Martin Anderson was 26-for-50 passing for 360 yards with two touchdowns. Both of his touchdown passes went to Jeremiah Collins, who finished with 134 yards on nine receptions. Casper Moen had the lone rushing touchdown. 

Although Anderson threw two interceptions, his defense came away with two INTs, too — one each from Ike Waage and Luke Loenard. Charles Anderson recorded a sack.


BLACK HAWK-WARREN 52, WAUZEKA-SENECA 14

WAUZEKA — With a convincing Six Rivers victory on Sept. 27, No. 4 Black Hawk-Warren qualified for the playoffs. The Warriors had a 30-point lead at halftime, and their second-string continued to score on the Blue Golds’ first team.

Piercen Mahoney and Owen Seffrood combined for 296 of BHW’s 364 rushing yards. Seffrood toted five of the seven rushing touchdowns. The other two came from Mahoney and Jacob Woodruff. 

Six weeks into the season, BHW is top in the state across all divisions in multiple categories. Seffrood is sixth in the state in rushing (1,066 yards) and tied for first with Milwaukee Academy of Science’s Josiah Johnson for rushing touchdowns (20). As a team, BHW is fourth in the state in rushing yards (2,121) and tied for first with Lomira for rushing touchdowns (32).


CAMBRIA-FRIESLAND 62, PARKVIEW-ALBANY 6

CAMBRIA — Mathias Treinen’s 60-yard touchdown pass to Caleb Smith was the only score for the Vikings in a blowout Trailways loss on Friday, Sept. 27. 

The Hilltopper defense limited PA to just 110 yards of total offense, with just three yards rushing. Their campaign was aided by four interceptions.

Meanwhile, Cambria-Friesland compiled 474 rushing yards with eight touchdowns between six backs. 


DE SOTO 50, MONTICELLO 6

MONTICELLO — The Ponies fell behind 14-0 after the first quarter and trailed 44-6 at halftime of their game Sept. 27.

Alex Roe had 89 rushing yards on 12 carries and Monticello’s only touchdown. Tanner Hillard was 2-for- passing for 105 yards and two interceptions. Presley Ladwig caught both passes, averaging 52.5 yards per catch.

DeSota gained 233 yards through the air and over 300 yards of offense. Jackson Trussoni had four catches for 143 yards and three scores, while Bryce Schultz added a 73-yard TD catch.
