JEFFERSON — Brodhead-Juda’s girls cross country team was fifth and the boys were sixth at the 11-team Jefferson Invitational Sept. 28.
Jefferson won the girls race, while Evansville won the boys race.
Anna Skoumal was the first Cardinal to cross the finish line in the girls’ race, ending with a time of 23:27.1, which was good enough for 15th place.
Freshman Madi Brown was 27th overall (25:13.5), and junior Lexie Lobeck 28th (25:13.5). Emily Welsh (26:21.0) was 32nd, and Olivia Hartwig (26:24.2) was 33rd.
On the boys side, Jacob Lohmar was 15th overall (19:17.6), with Josiah Engen (20:18.6, 31st), Gavin Pinnow (20:27.3, 32nd), Brady Bruns (20:56.2, 45th), and Nathan Engen (21:14.7, 51st) also scoring for the Cardinals.
