Ava Kligora scores four in 8-1 win

BELOIT — The Rock County Fury picked up it second conference win of the season with an 8-1 victory over Stoughton on Monday, Dec. 4. 

“Our players are playing with confidence and showing what they can do out there right now,” Rock County head coach Luke Steuer said. “It is great to see the chemistry between the lines.”

The Fury scored all eight of their goals in the first two periods. 

In fact, the game kicked off with two short-handed goals from Macy Murphy and Ava Kligora. 

“Our team came out ready to play tonight,” Steuer said. “Macy and Ava both had a short-handed goal to start our scoring off. We were pressuring well on our penalty kill.”

Ava Kligora tallied four goals on the night for a hat trick, her first of the season. She also notched two assists for a six-point night.

Jillian Traver stopped 15 of 16 shots on goal for a .938 save percentage.

In other local hockey, Beloit Memorial fell to Madison Memorial 8-1.
