DARLINGTON — The Argyle-Pecatonica golf team shot a team score of 174 to place fourth in the SWAL Conference Golf Meet held May 16 at Darlington Country Club. Cuba City won the meet with a 159. Mineral Point was second at 166. 

AP sophomore Avari Steiner shot 38 to lead the team. Senior Alex Ruetten carded a 40.

“Another super windy day for a golf meet with some rain,” said Chuck Chandler, AP coach. “Golf is hard enough as it is then add trying to stay steady over a shot when the wind is moving you. We didn’t handle the conditions very well. Avari did her job shooting a 38. Lots of double and triple bogeys for the other kids which we just can’t have if we’re expecting to shoot a really good team score.”
