HAZEL GREEN — Albany fell to Southwestern in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal on Thursday, Oct. 19. The Wildcats won 25-23, 25-16, 25-22. Alana Durtschi led the Comets in kills (13), digs (15) and aces (3). Anna Ellinger contributed 12 kills, a team-high five blocks and nine digs. Ellie Modaff and Myah Johnson split the setting duties with 13 and 10 assists, respectively. Albany finished its season 17-11 overall and 9-3 in the Six Rivers East Conference, battling the top teams for a title all season.
