BELOIT — The Rock County Fury dropped a Badger Conference game against Cap City Cougars Jan. 13. 

Neither team scored in the first two period, but the Cougars put in three-straight in the third, including two late empty-netters to guarantee victory. Maddie Tattersall broke the goose egg with a goal 8:05 into the third. Keegan Sanderfoot scored both empty netters with 1:29 and :04 left in regulation.

The Cougars (8-8, 5-2) outshot the Fury (6-10-2, 4-5) 41-18.

The Fury are in the middle of a five-game home stretch. Up next are the Icebergs Jan. 17, followed by USM Wildcats Jan. 22 and then Metro Lynx Jan. 27.
