HOLLANDALE - A nine-run fifth inning gave the Wiota Home Talent baseball team the lead and more, as the Indians grabbed a crucial 10-4 road win over Hollandale in the Thursday night league.

Hollandale opened the scoring with three runs in the first inning and held onto the lead until the fifth inning when Wiota had their offensive outbreak. The Indians would add another run in the sixth inning to build on the lead.

Wiota scored 10 runs on just six hits and spread those around, with no Indian recording multiple hits. Brad Schliem and Jeff Solberg led the Indians with two runs batted in apiece.

Alex Abraham got the win for Wiota, pitching three innings. He allowed one run on two hits, while striking out two and walking two.

Wiota (3-1) will turn around and host an immediate rematch with Hollandale at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by another 1 p.m. tilt at home against Monroe on Sunday.
