MONROE - The 33rd annual Monroe Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament, the last of the three scheduled tennis tournaments sponsored by the Park & Recreation Department, will take court the weekend of Aug. 9-10.

The event is open to anyone high school age and older. The fee is $20 per team and all teams are guaranteed two matches. The fee can be paid on the day of the tournament.

The tournament is scheduled to start Saturday at 12:30 p.m., Aug. 9, at the Recreation Park Courts.

Because the Rec Park Courts are scheduled to be resurfaced very soon, the tournament may be moved to the high school and the Northeast Park Courts. Players will be notified where to report.

To enter, call tournament director Jim Bartholf at 325-9402. Deadline for entries is noon Friday, Aug. 8.
