FREEPORT - Monroe senior Skylar Lassen and sophomore Nina Schiro each had a hand in winning four events to lead the Monroe-New Glarus girls swim team top a 101-77 dual meet win over Freeport on Saturday.
Lassen won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 58.58 seconds and finished first in the 100 backstroke (1:06.59). She teamed with junior Brynn Ritschard, Schiro and sophomore Emily Meritt to win the 200 medley relay (2:07.89). She also teamed with freshman Kayleigh Nesbitt, Schiro and junior Maddie Hammer to win the 400 freestyle relay (4:09.39).
Schiro won the 200 individual medley (2:29.64) and took first in the 500 freestyle (6:09.56).
Hammer won the 200 freestyle (2:06.70) and took first in the 100 breaststroke (1:17.05). She teamed with Samantha Ellefson, Meritt and Ritschard to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:55.23).
Meritt placed first in the 100 butterfly (1:13.44) and was second in the 50 freestyle (29.30). Nesbitt added a second-place finish in the 100 backstroke (1:18.80).
The Monroe-New Glarus junior varsity swim team defeated Freeport 62-44.
