NEW GLARUS - Junior point guard Jaden Kreklow was a unanimous selection to the first-team Division 4 Wisconsin Basketball Coaches All-State team Monday.
Kreklow averaged 20.3 points per game and helped lead New Glarus to a 24-1 overall record, a No. 1 state ranking and a run to the sectional semifinal. Pardeeville knocked off the Glarner Knights 74-68 in a Division 4 sectional semifinal March 8.
Kreklow was one of only three players that were unanimous selections. The other was Bailey Blanchard of Clear Lake and J.C. Butler of the Prairie School. New Glarus senior Cullen Brooks was named honorable mention all-state. Brooks averaged 15.1 points per game for New Glarus team.
Mineral Point's Brayden Dailey is the only freshman to make the all-state team. Dailey led the SWAL in scoring at 21.3 points per game. The 6-5 wing player is a one of the top recruits in the 2021 class. Mineral Point 6-3 sophomore guard Isaac Lindsey also was named first-team all-state. The SWAL Player of the Year averaged 18.9 points per game and led the Pointers to the sectional championship game.
In Division 5, Barneveld senior Kauy Fargo was named first-team all-state. Fargo, the Six Rivers East Player of the Year, led the conference with an average of 20 points per game and helped the Eagles win a share of the conference title with Pecatonica.
