MONROE - The Capitol South Conference recently announced its all-conference team and three New Glarus players received accolades.
New Glarus junior point guard Tyler Kreklow was named first team all-conference and was the co-conference player of the year, along with Marshall's Cam Ward. Both Kreklow and Ward were unanimous first team all-conference selections.
Kreklow averaged 16.7 points per game.
New Glarus senior Tyler Dorn was second team all-conference and senior Kirbe French was honorable mention all-conference.
New Glarus finished 12-12, 6-4 in the Capitol South for third place. Cambridge went 8-2 in the conference to win the championship.
The Knights were in contention to share the conference title until the season finale. The Blue Jays swept two games from the Glarner Knights during the regular season and beat them a third time in the regional semifinals 68-46 to end their season.
