Korth stymies Tourists

NEW GLARUS - Monroe's home talent team defeated New Glarus Saturday, 12-0, in eight innings.

Ben Korth dominated Tourist hitters, tossing seven innings with 12 strikeouts while allowing just four hits and zero walks. Kris Rieder pitched a scoreless eighth.

Rooney Janecke was 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and three RBIs. Cody Boals was also 2-for-4 with a double for Monroe (8-2).

Taylor Weckerly was a perfect 3-for-3 for New Glarus. Mike Rear took the loss for the Tourists, striking out 12 in over seven innings of work.

Monroe's Sunday game against Argyle was cancelled.
