NEW GLARUS - Brooke Klassy had a Senior Night to savor as the Glarner Knights slugged their way to a 16-15 win over Faith Christian in the regular season finale on Monday.
Klassy went 5-for-5 and had two doubles to lead the Knights (3-19). Klassy also pitched 2/3 of an inning and helped the Knights close out the win.
"It's been a long two years," New Glarus coach Robert Wahl said. "We have played well at times. We have never gave up. It just shows that the kids keep coming back. It just shows their character."
New Glarus pounded out 19 hits. Rachel Schieldt went 4-for-4 and Alicia Blum was 3-for-3. Emma Jackson went 3-for-5 and Mikaela Gregory was 2-for-5.
