Knauf, Janecke to play with Team Wisconsin in national tournament

MONROE - Alyssa Knauf of Albany, Tessa Janecke of Orangeville, and the Team Wisconsin U14 Tier 1 girls hockey team qualified for the USA Hockey National Tournament.

The tournament is held in Boston over four days in April with top Tier 1 teams across the U.S. Team Wisconsin U14 is currently ranked eighth in the nation. 

In addition to Team Wisconsin, Knauf is a center on the Rock County Fury girls high school hockey team.

Janecke finished her regular season with the Monroe Avalanche Bantam team. Team Wisconsin allows players to play tier 1 hockey before and after the WIAA high school season or club hockey.
