BELLEVILLE - Hannah Kernen scored two goals as the Sugar River Raiders held off Sun Prairie in a non-conference match on Monday, 2-1.
The Raiders (13-1-1) got on the board early when Kernen scored off of passes from Mackenzie Christensen and Trisha Boley 13 minutes, 51 seconds into the game. Kernen was assisted by Christensen in the 54th minute, to make it 2-0.
Sun Prairie scored a desperation goal with just 34 seconds left in the game.
Sugar River's Natalie Manion had just three shots against her in goal.
Kernen now has 24 goals and eight assists in 15 games. She is tied for fourth in the state in goals scored and sixth in total points (goals, assists).
