BELLEVILLE - Sugar River junior Hannah Kernen was named to the all-state second-team by the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association.
Kernen, a midfielder, scored 36 goals and dished out 15 assists this season to lead the Raiders to a 20-4 overall record, a Capitol Conference championship and to the state sectional semifinal.
This was the third time Kernen has received all-state honors.
Verona senior forward Alex Melin was named the WSCA's Player of the Year. Melin, who was also named the Gatorade Wisconsin Girls Soccer Player of the Year, led Verona to the WIAA Division 1 state championship.
