ALBANY - After winning the Six Rivers East conference championship title a week ago, Juda's softball team put its emotions on hold Monday and edged Albany, 5-0.
"It was a really good game," Albany coach Connie Wunschel said. Juda led just 2-0 after six innings.
Amber Ramos got the win on the mound for the Panthers, finishing with 10 strikeouts and two walks. Katie Krupke had five strikeouts and two walks.
Katlyn DeVoe, Erika Kundert, and Alycia Grenzow each had two hits for Juda. Kaley Hubert had Albany's only hit in the second inning.
Brodhead 7, Clinton 0
CLINTON - Erika Stampfli threw yet another one-hitter to go with 19 strikeouts as the Cardinals dominated Clinton.
Courtney Mielke and Tia Collins each had three hits, and Jorden Riese had two hits. Leah Hegi added a double for Brodhead.
Stampfli also allowed just three walks.
Brodhead (14-5, 12-4 Rock Valley South) scored two runs in the first, two in the third and three in the fourth before coasting to the end.
In other action, Monticello lost to Shullsburg-Benton 4-1.
