BELOIT - The Juda girls basketball team continued its impressive early-season play, knocking off Beloit Turner, 59-30.
"We started slow in the first half, but the second half was better," Panthers head coach Curt Brown said.
Ellen Kiser scored 21 points to lead Juda. C.J. Dunwiddie had 10 points and Heather Boeke added eight.
"This was a team effort. We had a couple of people step up big," Brown said.
Juda led just 10-6 after the first quarter, but a 16-9 run in the second gave the Panthers an 11-point cushion at halftime.
A 19-9 run in the third quarter thwarted any chance Beloit Turner thought it had to come back.
Nine Panthers scored in the game. As a team, Juda shot 17-for-32 from the free throw line.
