JUDA - Senior Chelsea Burkhalter drilled four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 19 points to help the Juda girls basketball team roll to a 54-26 win over Madison Abundant Life on Tuesday.
Juda (10-6) jumped out to a 20-point lead, 31-11, at the half.
Senior Alexis Goecks added nine points for the Panthers. Senior Sara Jordan scored all eight of her points in the first half.
The Panthers shot 50 percent from the free-throw line (9 of 18).
Juda will host Pecatonica on Friday.
Black Hawk 64, Barneveld 44
BARNEVELD - Black Hawk moved one step closer to winning a Six Rivers East Conference championship by cruising to a big win over rival Barneveld.
Black Hawk freshman Natalie Leuzinger scored a game-high 23 points and had 10 rebounds. Freshman Hannah Butler scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds, had five assists and five steals. Senior Sam Lovelace added 13 points.
Barneveld jumped out to a 10-5 lead early on.
"I thought we were a step slow on defense," Black Hawk coach Mike Flanagan said. "As the first half wore on we got settled in. Once we established patience and started hitting some shots on offense I thought it was pivotal we pulled away in the first half."
Black Hawk (13-0, 5-0 Six Rivers East), ranked third in the Associated Press Division 5 state poll, led 34-22 at the half. The Warriors have a two-game lead on the Eagles in the conference.
"We still have a lot of work to do in the conference," Flanagan said. "We don't believe this solidifies anything. To get them both times is a really big step. They have done a really good job of not making any game bigger than it is. It's a big conference game just like the other ones."
Black Hawk junior Hannah Herbst had a team-high six assists.
Barneveld's Teegan Pickarts scored a team-high 19 points and her sister Taryn Pickarts added 10 points.
Barneveld (8-7, 4-2) now trails Argyle (5-1) by one game for second in the conference.
Edgerton 44, Brodhead 34
BRODHEAD - Edgerton's Jessica Danks scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Crimson Tide past the Cardinals.
Brodhead (6-10, 5-6 Rock Valley South) led by two points at the half. Edgerton outscored the Cardinals 28-16 in the second half.
Brodhead senior Morgan Cook and junior Erin Nyhus each scored a team-high 12 points. Both Nyhus and Cook hit one 3-pointer. Nyhus made 5 of 6 free throws.
Darlington 68, Southwestern 30
HAZEL GREEN - Darlington had three players reach double figures en route to a dominating win over Southwestern.
Darlington senior Taryn Rankin scored a game-high 14 points. Junior Kennedy Rankin added 13 points and knocked down three 3-pointers. Sophomore Kaylee Meyers had 10 points. Senior Sadie Fitzsimons chipped in nine points.
The Redbirds raced out to a 37-8 lead in the first half.
The Redbirds are two games (10-5, 6-2 SWAL) behind league-leading Mineral Point, which is 7-0 in the SWAL.
