Juda outlasts Vikings

JUDA - Senior Erika Duecker had 10 kills and the Panthers rode the hot serving of senior Hailey Kammerer to a four-set win over Pecatonica Tuesday.

Kammerer posted four aces and had a 100-percent serving percentage to lead the Panthers to a 25-20, 26-24, 19-25, 25-15 win over the Vikings.

"We knew if we wanted to be in the upper half of conference this was a must-win game," Juda coach Scott Anderson said. "We knew we had to bring a lot of energy and intensity like we had in the Brodhead tournament and it translated."

Juda senior MacKenzie Byrne racked up 30 assists. Kammerer had a team-high 14 digs and Hannah Powers added two blocks. With the win, Juda improves to 6-7, 2-2 Six Rivers East.

Pecatonica senior Grace Keast had a match-high 13 kills. Senior teammate Taetum Pagel racked up 18 assists and had five aces. Junior Sami Holstrom notched 13 digs.



Belleville 3,

New Glarus 0

BELLEVILLE - Rachael Heittola posted nine kills, six aces and three digs to lead the Wildcats to a sweep of New Glarus.

Glarner Knights senior Willow Lee had a match-high 10 kills, but Belleville rolled to a 25-15, 25-17, 25-13 win in the Capitol South Conference rivalry match.

New Glarus senior Julia Barnaby added four kills and two aces. Senior Riley Parker dished out 15 assists and senior Olivia Xistris had six digs. With the loss, New Glarus drops to 0-13, 0-4 Capitol South. Belleville improves to 11-5, 3-1.

Black Hawk 3, Barneveld 1

BARNEVELD - Bailey Butler had 13 kills and Hannah Butler added 10 more as the visiting Warriors held off the Eagles in Six Rivers East play. Black Hawk won in four sets, 25-23, 25-15, 22-24, 25-21.

Hannah Herbst added 15 assists and 17 good serves, and Syd Delzer had four aces for the Warriors.

Black Hawk's next conference match is Sept. 19 against Albany at home.
