ALBANY - Juda-Albany senior Chelsea Burkhalter went 3-for-4 and the Panthers overcame an early deficit to beat Johnson Creek 6-2 on Friday.
Juda-Albany trailed 2-0 after the first two innings. The Panthers changed that with a two-run third. It started with Riley Adkins bunting for a single. Senior teammate Alexis Goecks then singled. Burkhalter delivered an RBI single. Junior Hailey Kammerer came through with a single. Senior teammate Sara Jordan then followed with a game-tying RBI single to tie the game at 2.
The Panthers finished with 13 hits and sealed the win by scoring two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings.
"Offensively, we really started hitting the ball," Juda-Albany coach Bill Davis said. "That bunt from Riley really got us going and we really got some confidence."

Junior teammate Maddie Roth, who went 2-for-3, had an RBI single to give the Panthers a 3-2 lead. Sammi Detra then singled and Sayde McDermott delivered an RBI double to give the Panthers a 4-2 lead.
Becker went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Kammerer finished 2-for-4 at the plate.
Becker pitched a complete game and gave up one earned run on four hits. She struck out seven and walked one.
