JUDA - Senior Riley Adkins went 2-for-3 and had three RBI to power the Juda-Albany softball team to a 17-2 four-inning win over Pardeeville in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal game Thursday.

Juda-Albany (22-2) will host Racine Lutheran in a regional final at 5 p.m. today.

The Panthers scored nine runs in the first inning.

"We talked about how important it is to jump out on them early," Juda-Albany coach Bill Davis said. "Basically, our mentality is that we are not going to give up more than three or four runs. If we can score more than that in the first inning it deflates the other team a little bit."

Juda-Albany senior Sara Jordan went 2-for-2, and senior Alexis Goecks was 2-for-3. Junior Nicki Becker drove in four runs.

Becker pitched a complete game to get the win. In four innings, she gave up one earned run on two hits, struck out seven and walked two.

In another regional semifinal game, top-seeded Johnson Creek rolled to a 15-0 win over Monticello in four innings in Division 5. Argyle will play at Johnson Creek in a regional final at 5 p.m. today.
