MONTICELLO - Monticello High School will host the Hoosier School of Basketball June 3-5. There will be an advanced camp held at Monticello High School June 17-19.
The basketball camp is directed by Woody Wilson who is an assistant coach at St. Norbert College. The basketball camp is open to boys and girls entering grades 4-12.
A unique feature of this camp is that each camper has a basketball which provides for more repetitions and skill development. Skills covered in the camp include ball handling, passing, dribbling, shooting techniques, offensive moves, screening and receiving screens. A portion of the camp will be devoted to team play, 3-on-3, 4-on-4 and 5-on-5.

Wilson is regarded by peers as an outstanding teacher of basketball. His teams have won 10 conference championships while he coached at the high school level. He spent 17 years as an assistant coach at the Division I level. In those 17 years, he has been a part of five championships, two teams that participated in the NIT and four teams advanced to the NCAA tournament. In the fall of 1999, Wilson was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame.
