ARGYLE - Highland turned up its defensive pressure and cruised to a 57-26 win over Argyle Monday.
Argyle (3-14, 0-8 Six Rivers East) led 7-6 at the end of the first quarter and trailed by just six points at halftime. Highland outscored the Orioles 33-14 in the second half.
"We were able to hang in," Argyle coach Sean Leary said. "It was a good first half. Highland's defensive intensity in the second half kind of took us out of the game."
Argyle sophomore Kayla Ostby scored eight points to lead the Orioles. Juniors Cortney Gilbertson and Katie Dammen each added six.
