MAZOMANIE - The Glarner Knights continued their winning ways Friday, rolling over Wisconsin Heights 35-7.

Tyler Dorn scored on a 2-yard run to cap New Glarus-Monticello's 7-play, 65-yard opening drive.

Mason Lockard scored the first of his three touchdowns on the Knights' third drive, running the ball in from 4 yards out.

Kirbe French sparked NGM with a long punt return to give the Knights another scoring chance from the 12-yard line in the second. Junior quarterback Lukas Kolasch scored from a yard out to make it 21-0.

Kolasch then connected with French on a long 37-yard pass play moments later, setting up Lockard's second score, which made it 28-0 headed into the half.

In the third, Dallas Boley blocked a punt for NGM - the Knights' second of the game - and Lockard returned the loose ball 33 yards for the score.

Wisconsin Heights scored a late touchdown to stop the running clock.

New Glarus-Monticello (6-0, 2-0) hosts Waterloo (5-1, 1-1) Oct. 8.

Brodhead-Juda 70, Clinton 35

CLINTON - The Cardinals collected nearly 500 yards rushing on the game and had a running clock throughout much of the second half.

Brodhead-Juda held a two-score lead throughout much of the first half, but a big start to the second half put the Cardinals on top by five scores. Clinton scored a touchdown in the fourth to stop the running clock, but Brodhead-Juda answered with another score of their own.

The Cardinals (4-2, 3-1 Rock Valley South) face a big test next week, traveling to Palmyra-Eagle (5-1, 3-1).

Cambridge 21, Belleville-Albany 20

BELLEVILLE - Cambridge (4-2, 1-1 Capitol South) led early, getting the Wildcats down 15-0 in the first quarter.

By halftime, Cambridge led 21-6. Belleville-Albany got a touchdown pass from Collin Adams to Mike Nolden in the second. In the third quarter, Adams ran in a score from four yards out and also connected with Nolden for a second touchdown. The deficit was too much, however.

Cambridge racked up 321 rushing yards while Belleville Albany had 194 yards on the ground and 70 through the air. Donovan Woods had 23 carries for 109 yards for the Wildcats.

Cambridge's Alex Resnick had 15 carries for 208 yards and all three scores for the Blue Jays.

Belleville Albany picked off a pass and held Cambridge to just 1 of 11 passing for nine yards. Adams was 5 of 7 for 70 yards and two scores.

The Wildcats (0-6, 0-2) will continue the hunt for their first win Oct. 8 at home against Wisconsin Heights (1-5, 0-2).
