PALMYRA - Ellen Kiser quickly is becoming one of the Juda girls basketball team's go-to shooters. The freshman again led Juda in scoring Monday, with 15 points in the Panthers' 43-37 win over Palmyra-Eagle.

Kiser scored 13 of her points in the second half, helping the Panthers (2-2, 1-2 Six River East) hold off the pesky Eagles.

"We didn't shoot well from the free throw line. But we were able to penetrate against their zone and draw some fouls," head coach Curtis Brown said.

Juda was outscored 35-29 from the field, but finished 10-of-21 from the charity stripe, while Palmyra shot and made only two free throws.

"Strangely enough, despite the poor shooting from the free throw line, that was the biggest difference," Brown said.

Rachel Bartels scored 14 points for Juda.
