MONROE - The Green County Gems captured a slew of awards at the Wisconsin YMCA state gymnastics meet last weekend.
The Green County Gems Level 2 team won a state championship, and the Level 1 team finished as the state runner-up.
In Level 1, Molly Olson, 8, won the uneven bars with a score of 9.3 and the vault (9.55) and placed first in the all-around (37.75). She took second on the floor (9.5). Lillian Sweeney, 7, finished first on the uneven bars (9.4) and second on the balance beam (9.4). Maecee Rice, 10, finished third on the vault (9.45).
Raevynn Jackson, 8, finished first in the Level 2 all-around competition (36.9), first on the floor (9.3) and first on the uneven bars (9.25). Jackson also took second on the balance beam (9.45).
Claire Holland, 9, won the balance beam (9.6), floor (9.45) and was second on the uneven bars (9.45. She took third in the all-around competition (37.35). Melanie Westgard, 9, won the uneven bars (9.5) in her group of Level 2. She added second-place finishes on the balance beam (9.55) and in the all-around competition (37.45).
Makayla Eddy, 9, added a second-place finish on the vault (9.5).
Gabi Ryser, 10, won the floor (9.45) and took second on the balance beam (9.5). Jenna Brower, 10, won the vault (9.55) and was second on the balance beam (9.5).
Desirae Signer, 10, won a title on the balance beam (9.55), and Kaylyn Albert, 11, won the balance beam (9.7) and took third in the all-around competition (37.25). Jada Burkhalter, 11, won the uneven bars (9.3), took second on the balance beam (9.55) and finished third all-around (37.25). Annabelle Wortman, 11, took third on the beam (9.5).
Emma Holland, 12, in her Level 2 group won the floor (9.5) and was first all-around (37.6). She added a second on the uneven bars (9.2), second on the vault (9.4) and a third on the balance beam (9.5). Addie Rice took third on both the floor (9.4) and vault (9.35).
Katrina Sathoff, 10, won a championship on the vault (9.3). Kyla Ziolkowski, 12, won the vault (9.3) and was second on the floor (9.05). Tess Nafzger, 13, won the balance beam (9.25), took second on the vault (9.1) and took third all-around (35.8) on the floor (8.65). Vaughn Barker, 12, finished second on the uneven bars (9.5), and Kennadee Johnson, 8, took second on the uneven bars (9.55).
In Level 4, Kaylea Paulson, 12, was the all-around state champion (36.62). She also won championships on the balance beam (9.35) and vault (9.1). Paulson took second on the floor (9.15).
Faith Koester, 14, in Level 6, won the all-around championship (36). She also won state championships on the balance beam (9.47) and vault (8.92). Lizzy Brennan, 16, won the floor (9.42).
Lizzie Snider, 13, won the vault in the Xcel Silver group with a 9.3. She finished second in the all-around competition (36.5) and was third on the balance beam (9.4). In the Xcel Gold division, Maddison Markham, 13, took third on the vault (8.32), and Heather Burkhalter was third on the balance beam (9.25). The Gems Xcel Gold team finished third in the state meet.
