BELOIT - Albany's Alyssa Knauf and Kaitlynn Beyer each scored two goals to power the Rock County Fury girls hockey co-op to a 7-0 win over Fox Cities Saturday.

Ella Siha opened the game, scoring his first varsity goal for the Fury. Knauf and Beyer each added two goals. Maggy Henschler and Zoie Steig each added one goal. With the win, the Fury improve to 5-1-1, 1-0 Badger South.

Henschler had three assists and Haley Knauf had two assists, which both went to her sister, Alyssa Knauf, on goals. Monroe junior Cammi Ganshert, Anne Rude, Samantha Wells and Dani Heitsman each recorded one assist.

McKaylie Buescher had 24 saves to earn the shutout.

"We played a great game tonight," Rock County Fury coach Luke Steurer said. "Our forwards and defense did a great job of collapsing in the middle to pick up the loose puck and their forwards to help our goalie."

The Fury will host Stoughton at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Beloit.

The Fury bounced back from a tough 4-3 loss to University School of Milwaukee Tuesday by pounding the Badger Lightning 9-0 Thursday.

Monroe freshman Anika Einbeck scored 2:57 into the game, and that was all the scoring the Fury would need. The Fury outshot the Lightning 41-11. They also got first-period goals from Steig, Ally Burke and Dani Heitsman.

The second period saw Steig and Heitsman add their second goals, while Haley and Alyssa Knauf also added goals. Henschler scored the lone goal in the third period.
